Using a standard account, you can still just type in the password and give access, when you know well how many scams work and if you stick to mainstream sites, are there any other ways you can get infected? Also can't most of the malware infested websites and files be avoided by common sense on what links to click and ublock? Thanks for your time btw — user I've been using windows for many years so i guess ill just keep using a admin account.

Thanks again. Using a standard account is not necessarily more secure than UAC. There are vulnerabilities found all the time in modules that themselves do have admin rights on a machine but are accessible to standard users.

Privilege escalation is a very real security problem for all types of users and while using a standard account might be better Security is an ongoing process. Standard users are more useful in a network where you need to segregate users and limit the damage they can do or what they can access.

Basically I see it as a question of self-confidence. For an experienced user that often installs applications or does other admin stuff, a standard account is a nuisance.

For a less-active user, a standard account gives more confidence. If you trust yourself and the system to do their respective jobs then there is little difference between the two ways on your own computers.

If you download and run malware on a standard account then it can simply sit there waiting for its time to shine, same goes for an admin account with UAC. It boils down to whether you trust yourself not to blindly click OK if the screen flashes black and asks for admin rights at that point. If it happens the only question is "do I expect it to ask for that? Show 8 more comments.

JW i guess it's probably because they don't want to worry too much bout security and think that since they know to avoid dangerous websites by common sense and ublock and keep thier stuff up to date.

Also can you define best practice? If it is very important, wouldnt windows do it by default? Per Microsoft , " The simplest approach is to sign in to your computer with a standard user account, instead of using the Administrator account for tasks When you want to perform an administrative task Add a comment.

You said by using a standard account, no one can trick you into running a program with elevation. How is that possible? Thanks for your time btw — user You will then be presented with a screen that contains a Scan and Clean button. The Scan button will cause AdwCleaner to search your computer for unwanted programs and then display all the files, folders, and registry entries found on your computer that are used by adware programs.

When the scan has finished, look through the scan results and uncheck any entries that you do not wish to remove. When you are satisfied with the selection, simply click on the Clean button, which will cause AdwCleaner to reboot your computer and remove the files and registry entries associated with the various adware that you are removing. On reboot, AdwCleaner will display a log showing the files, folders, and registry entries that were removed. It is also important to note that certain adware programs such as Babylon and Delta Search include a program that alerts you when a program is trying to change your browser's search or home page settings.

When running AdwCleaner it will reset your search settings to the default Microsoft one if it detects it has been changed by an adware. If you see the warning that states AdwCleaner is trying to change your browser settings, please allow it to do so. It can take up to 30 minutes for the individual simulation reports to update after the transition to the In progress state.

The report data continues to build until the simulation reaches the Completed state. Reporting updates occur at the following intervals:.

Widgets on the Overview page provide a quick snapshot of your organization's simulation-based security posture over time.

Because these widgets reflect your overall security posture and journey over time, they're updated after each simulation campaign is completed.

If messages that users reported as phishing aren't captured in Attack simulation training simulation reports, there might be an Exchange mail flow rule also known as a transport rule that's blocking the delivery of the reported messages to Microsoft. Verify that any mail flow rules aren't blocking delivery to the following email addresses:. If users are assigned training after they report a phishing simulation message, check to see if your organization has a custom mailbox configured in your user submission policy.

When configuring a custom mailbox , this mailbox needs to be excluded from Safe Links and Safe Attachments policies as per the Custom mailbox prerequisites. If your organization has a custom mailbox configured and has not set up the required exclusions, these messages may be detonated, causing training assignments. We've found that campaigns where the targeted users are identified by Azure AD groups are generally easier to manage.

A: The limit for importing recipients from a CSV file or adding individual recipients to a simulation is 40, A recipient can be an individual user or a group. A group might contain hundreds or thousands of recipients, so an actual limit isn't placed on the number of individual users.

Managing a large CSV file or adding many individual recipients can be cumbersome. Using Azure AD groups will simplify the overall management of the simulation. We've noticed that any direct or machine translations of existing payloads to other languages will lead to inaccuracies and decreased relevance. That being said, you can create your own payload in the language of your choice using the custom payload authoring experience. In other words, let the attackers localize the content for you. Skip to main content. Find threads, tags, and users Comment Show 0. Current Visibility: Visible to all users. You should delete it. The old version does not enforce the use of the app or an account to access content on the site. Even better, it is very easy to access, especially if you are on Reddit already. All you have to do is replace the www part of the address with old. For example:. Instead of using the old version of Reddit, you may also load the desktop site.

Some mobile browsers support this out of the box; this is the case for Brave or Firefox. The downside of this solution is that the desktop site is not optimized for mobile use. If you have multiple browsers installed, you may get the full view in some while others may be blocked. On my device, Reddit was blocking access in Brave by default but not in Firefox. Firefox displayed all posts and there was no block in place. To access Reddit on mobile, you may also install a third-party app. But many of those may display advertisements by default.

Only some users experience the blocking of the content on Reddit Mobile; those may use any of the methods listed above to access the content on Reddit without signing in or using the official application. Using apps for websites is counter-productive and ridiculous. They are just websites, not programs.

And last time I used YouTube Vanced, ads started creeping in between video thumbnails in results. Also less apps means less space taken on your phone. While I agree most websites ask to install their app to use the service, in case of Reddit I would suggest to use Redreader or Infinity which are on F-Droid so no ads and trackers and its better this way to use Reddit.

About many websites forcing to use their respective Apps, I have a simple approach, 1. Seems to be a recurring theme with Reddit. In addition to alternate browsers or browser related tricks which I endorse myself , there are apparently alternative apps you can use that will not force you to log in. Webbrowser change is probably more likely a cookie issue.
